Wilmslow Meeting Tea Party to Celebrate 30 years in their current Meeting House Saturday 31st May
Wilmslow Friends decided that celebrating 30 years of being in their current Meeting House was a good opportunity to open its doors and invite others to come and find out about some of the history behind Quakers in Wilmslow and something of who and what Quakers are. What better way than a tea party?
It brought Friends from other Meetings, some local people and some with connections to the Meeting House. We had no idea how many would turn up, but in the event the Meeting Room was full. Much cake was eaten and interesting conversations developed about local Quaker history.
An invitation to a simple soup, bread and cheese lunch.
Dean Row Unitarian Chapel, Wilmslow, SK9 2BX, each Tuesday in Lent from 12 noon - 1.00pm for Christian Aid.
The hosts are: 11th March - Unitarians; 18th March - Wilmslow Quakers & Life Church; 25th March - St Bart's & St Anne's; 1st April - St Teresa's, 8th April – Wilmslow Methodists.
Shared Lunch: All welcome to our regular 4th Sunday lunch. Bring some food to share for lunch after Meeting for Worship
Christmas themed craft activities during and after Meeting for Worship - perhaps some music and song, too. A festive 'bring- and -share lunch' afterwards at 1.30pm.
