Meeting for Exploration .
‘Opening to the Light : an Ignatian approach to discernment’ with Jan Valliumy
Sunday 20th Sept , Disley Meeting House
12.15- 1.15
There will be opportunity to :-
• Learn more about Ignatian spirituality.
• Experience the Ignatian practice of the Examen as a tool for increasing self- awareness and discernment.
• Appreciate how Ignatian and Quaker practices can inform and enhance each other .
I am coming from a background of long experience with Ignatian thought and practice. I was educated by nuns following the Jesuit ( Ignatian ) Rule , from age 5- 18 . It has only really come alive for me ,though , since I became a Quaker , which has both intrigued and energised me .

1000+ books donated
Heidi Chiang extends a very big 'thank you' to everyone at Disley Quaker Meeting who generously supported her 13th annual book sale for Book Aid International.
We had well over 1000 books donated overall, and made £1300 in total from monies donated online and via cash.
What a wonderful result!
